School Receptionist

We are currently recruiting for a receptionist to join our client, a well-established, friendly environment in the Oldbury area. The successful candidate will have experience of being a receptionist and withhold an Enhanced DBS.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all pupils are escorted to their correct classes.
  • Deal with complicated parent queries.
  • Answer a busy school switchboard, transferring calls to the correct department.
  • Make calls to the parents/carers & transfer to the classroom.
  • CPOMs, Arbor, school sign in system, excel, word etc.
  • Help enter all course certificates onto a spreadsheet, safeguarding etc.
  • Monitor the entrance to the schools’ electronic gates, intercom for cars and pedestrians.
  • Security intercom for front door, ensure every visitor has the correct colour lanyard & department re CBS cert. etc, announcing over the school tanoy system, entering registers, monitoring the alarm system connected to each classroom that sounds if the classroom needs urgent assistance, then using walkie talkies to ensure the incident is dealt with quickly & efficiently.
