About the Role:

As A Deputy Manager and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the highest quality of care and education for our children. You will support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery while also leading on SEND provision, ensuring all children receive the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Nursery Manager with the daily operations of the nursery
  • Act as the Designated SENCO, overseeing inclusion and additional support for children with SEND
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and work closely with external professionals
  • Lead and inspire a team of early years practitioners, providing guidance and support
  • Ensure the nursery meets EYFS and Ofsted requirements, maintaining high standards of care and education
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and carers to create a positive and inclusive environment
Requirements:
  • Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs and leading on SEND provision
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted regulations
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a nursery setting
  • Passionate about child development, inclusion, and making a difference in children's lives
