Electrical Site Manager

1st Step Solutions are looking for a Electrical Site Manager in SE London. We are seeking experienced Site Managers that have a track record within the commercial sector on projects with values between 5-10million.

The Role:
This position is under the supervision of the Project/Contracts Manager and will require daily communication with suppliers, Site Supervisors, Project Managers, EHSQ Advisors, and Subcontractors. You will take charge of overseeing all aspects of the project site, making sure that all project deliverables are successfully met.

Duties:
* Ensure the delivery and adherence to EHSQ standards, including Toolbox talks, RAMS, and PPE on-site.
* Verify that all necessary permits are secured.
* Coordinate the hiring of equipment, tools, and workforce on-site.
* Guide and train apprentices in managing deliveries and conducting daily inspections.
* Supervise and manage labour, site supervisors, and subcontractors effectively.
* Implement the commissioning and closeout plan while ensuring that snag lists are addressed.
* Track labour performance diligently.
* Handle all relevant external communications.
* Procure daily site materials as needed.
* Keep the progress report updated with the latest information.
* Maintain the Document Management System.
* Create project-specific schedules and communicate any changes to the project team.
* Monitor and report on project quality.
* Oversee the testing certification process and ensure a smooth handover.

Skills and Experience Required:
* An industry relevant City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or above.
* SMSTS.
* Previous experience overseeing and guiding teams as a Electrical Site Manager.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience.
* Ability to influence and drive positive attitudes and behaviours with regards to site health and safety.
* Experience dealing with Electrical subcontractors.
* IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
* Willingness to do some travel if/when required
