About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring HLTA to join a welcoming primary school in Greenwich, supporting Reception and Year 3 students, including those with SEN. You will play a significant role in fostering the educational, social, and emotional growth of the children, ensuring their progress and well-being throughout the school day.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a collaborative and supportive team, helping children develop essential skills through creative lessons and engaging activities. An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted support to SEN children through one-on-one sessions and small group activities.
- Assist in preparing resources and maintaining a stimulating classroom environment.
- Lead structured activities and support children's learning and development through play.
- Monitor and document children's progress, sharing key insights with staff and parents.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment, adhering to safeguarding policies.
Requirements
- Experience as an HLTA in a school setting, particularly supporting SEN children, is highly desirable.
- A caring, patient approach with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to adapt to children's individual needs and foster their personal development.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
