GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychology Teacher to join a co-educational comprehensive secondary school in Redbridge. If you have a strong knowledge of psychology and a talent for engaging students in the subject, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities of the Psychology Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality psychology lessons that align with the national curriculum and exam specifications.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where students can explore and engage with psychological theories and concepts.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback, helping them prepare for exams and assessments.
  • Support students in developing their analytical, critical thinking, and research skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective delivery of the psychology curriculum and participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress and achievements.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a focused and respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Contribute to the development of teaching resources and lesson plans.

Requirements of the Psychology Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching psychology at the secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the psychology curriculum and exam requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students with creative lesson delivery.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
  • Enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
