Job Purpose:We are seeking a skilled Locum Occupational Therapist to manage a caseload of approximately four cases per week. You will assess and provide interventions for a mix of complex and standard Occupational Therapy cases, playing a key role in discharge planning and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments for major adaptations and complex equipment, preparing sketches, reading plans, and providing detailed specifications for major works.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-professional team to undertake holistic, person-centered assessments and support planning for individuals with diverse health conditions and their carers.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with the legal social care framework and housing legislation.
- Manage, plan, prioritize, and progress complex cases effectively.
- Assess, recommend, and review the effectiveness of both simple and complex equipment, teaching safe usage in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
Essential Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge, skills, and experience in assessing for and recommending major adaptations and complex equipment, including manual handling.
- Experience in a multi-professional team setting, conducting holistic assessments and support planning.
- Understanding of the legal social care framework and housing legislation.
- Proven ability to manage, plan, prioritize, and progress complex cases.
- Experience in assessing for and recommending equipment, ensuring compliance with safe working practices.
Qualifications:
- Professional Occupational Therapy qualification recognized by the HCPC.
