Position: Male SEN Tutor

Location: Ilford, East London

Salary: 25-35ph

Job Description: We are seeking passionate and experienced Male SEN Tutors to join our team in Ilford. As an SEN Tutor, you will work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, providing personalised instruction and support to help them overcome learning challenges and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to each student's unique needs and learning style.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and the educational team.
  • Employ a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning difficulties.
  • Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching/SEN qualifications.
  • Proven experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students with special needs.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student requirements.

Desirable:

  • Experience with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, autism, ADHD, etc.
  • Additional certifications or training in SEN education.
  • Familiarity with national curriculum and other resources for SEN students.
