The Role:
As Procurement Manager, you'll be at the heart of the businesses operations, ensuring a seamless supply of product to the customer. You'll work closely with suppliers, sales, and supply chain teams to balance demand, optimise costs, and maintain high standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the company's sourcing strategy to optimise supply and profitability.
- Work closely with sales and supply chain teams to ensure all sales volumes are supplied efficiently.
- Track global market trends, vessel schedules, and supply chain risks to anticipate challenges.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and ensuring transparency in the buying cycle.
- Monitor and report sourcing performance, from grower evaluations to inventory management.
- Implement recovery plans for surplus stock to protect financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and assist suppliers in meeting requirements.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years' experience in sourcing or inventory management, ideally in perishables.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
- Spanish language skills would be beneficial.
- Self-motivated, hands-on, and able to work independently in a dynamic team environment.
