An East London housing company is seeking a Damp and Mould Project Manager to lead and manage the companies projects addressing damp and mould issues across local housing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee multiple damp and mould remediation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that work is delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with tenants, contractors, surveyors, and local housing teams to ensure effective communication and smooth execution of projects.
  • Surveying and Risk Assessment: Conduct regular property surveys to identify and assess damp and mould issues, and develop tailored remediation plans.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all projects comply with relevant building regulations, health and safety standards, and council policies.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports to senior management, highlighting challenges, solutions, and outcomes.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track costs, and ensure financial efficiency across all work streams.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of contractors and technical specialists to deliver exceptional results.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management, specifically in damp and mould remediation or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of housing regulations, building materials, and construction methods related to damp and mould.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to manage relationships with residents, contractors, and internal teams.
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements and a commitment to delivering safe, compliant projects.
  • A background in surveying, construction, or facilities management would be an advantage.
  • A valid project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM) or equivalent is desirable.
