Job Responsibilities

  • To prepare and maintain equipment and teaching areas for specialist classes whilst ensuring a safe learning environment.
  • To support teachers in practical classes and to help students as instructed, whilst providing advice during lessons
  • Maintain and repair tools and equipment and keep an up to date inventory of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Order stock and equipment as advised by the teacher in charge of the Science Departmentand also check deliveries and distribute stock as required.

Preferred Skills

  • Hold a safety & hygiene certificate or a similar qualification
  • Have a good understanding of the responsibility for personal health, safety, and welfare of students
  • Have good behaviour management
  • Be able to prioritise work schedules and multi task
  • Hold a valid DBS or apply for one
