Prospero Teaching is on the lookout for an experienced Behaviour Mentor to join a dedicated team supporting secondary boys in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Southeast London.

Role Insight
You'll be working with KS3/4 male students who exhibit challenging behaviour due to various factors such as:
SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)
ADHD
ASD
PTSD
Undiagnosed SEN

Position Overview
Needed: Behaviour Mentor
Days & Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Start Date: ASAP (Immediate trials available)
Salary: GBP100 - GBP110 per day (Depending on qualifications and experience)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Location: Southeast London

Key Responsibilities:
Academic Support: Help the students engage with their learning.
Emotional Support: Foster a safe, supportive environment for emotional well-being.
Teamwork: Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning experiences.
Behaviour Management: Guide the students in managing their behaviour and achieving progress.

What Youll Bring:
Strong Behavioural Management: Calmly handle extreme behaviours.
Compassion & Empathy: Understand the impact of SEMH, PTSD, and SEN.
Positive Relationships: Build trust with the students, supporting them academically and emotionally.
Communication Skills: Collaborate effectively with the team.
Adaptability: Handle challenges with flexibility.
Team Teach Training: Desirable but not essential-training for managing physical behaviour.

Requirements:
Enhanced DBS (on the update service)
Right to work in the UK
Experience working with challenging behaviours, SEMH, and related needs.
