Job Title: Locum Occupational Therapist - Adult Social Care (City of London)

Salary: £25.23 per hour (PAYE basic) | £29.28 per hour (PAYE premium) | £33.41 per hour (Umbrella)Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PMOffice Requirement: 3 days in the office per week, with the option to work remotely for the remaining days.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Social Care team in the City of London. This is a full-time position where you will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload and support clients in a meaningful way. The role requires you to spend 60% of your time in the office, providing a balanced mix of office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Case-load Management: Conduct home assessments, make recommendations, and oversee the provision and ordering of equipment. Review the effectiveness of equipment and adaptations.
  • Adaptations: Assess and arrange for both minor and major adaptations, including wet rooms, stairlifts, and ramps.
  • Manual Handling & Specialist Seating: Perform manual handling assessments, reviews, and provide specialist seating assessments and solutions.
  • Reablement Support: Deliver reablement assessments and assist in reviewing care packages. Provide training to carers on reablement tasks.
  • Major Adaptations: Prepare and complete specifications and diagrams for major adaptations.
  • Duty Support: Assist with equipment orders for discharges and facilitate timely delivery.
  • Client Support: Maintain welfare contact with clients through home visits and phone calls.
  • Collaboration: Work with external partners like NRS, IIT, ACRT, CMHT, and community rehab teams to ensure coordinated care.
  • Meetings & Development: Participate in two monthly meetings focusing on business updates and professional growth.
  • Telecare & Housing Assessments: Carry out Telecare assessments and housing assessments to ensure safe living environments for clients.
  • Administration: Use Mosaic, Word, and Excel for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
  • Out-of-Borough Visits: Travel outside of the City of London as required.
Requirements:
  • Qualification: Degree in Occupational Therapy and full HCPC registration.
  • Experience: Previous experience in Adult Social Care is essential, including a strong understanding of community-based assessments.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team. Experience with Mosaic or similar databases is desirable.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to balance office-based work with remote work and travel for out-of-borough visits.
