We work closely with schools to deliver tailored learning solutions, and we're currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school community. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working alongside the class teacher to support children with a variety of learning difficulties, ensuring that they have the tools and support they need to thrive in their educational journey. You will provide one-to-one and small group support, assist with classroom management, and help students engage with their lessons in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with SEN on a one-to-one or small group basis.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and adapting materials to suit individual needs.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Provide personal care and support to students where necessary.
  • Encourage students to build their social, communication, and academic skills.
  • Monitor and record students progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (SEN experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with children.
  • Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable).
