As a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Your day-to-day responsibilities will include working one-to-one with the child, providing targeted support to help them access the curriculum, and helping them develop essential social and emotional skills. You'll also be working closely with the class teacher and the school's experienced SEN team, who will support you in tailoring strategies to meet the child's needs. Beyond your role with the child, you'll be part of a team that fosters a collaborative and welcoming school environment. The school's leadership team is approachable and passionate about staff development, and they actively encourage professional growth and ongoing training. As a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
