Role: Senior/ Associate CDM Consultant Principal Designer

Location: London/ South East

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + attractive benefits package

WRG are supporting an independent property & construction consultancy who have been established for over 70 years, the business boasts a headcount of over 300 professionals offering a range of services including building surveying, project and cost management, civil engineering, fire engineering, architecture and H&S/ CDM.

They are recruiting for an experienced Senior or Associate level CDM Consultant/ Principal Designer to join the business out of their offices in London and manage a portfolio of CDM/ PD projects across the region. You will join a team of 17 like-minded H&S professionals and look to support the H&S Partner with managing the team and delivery on larger scale projects.

The business operates across multiple sectors and the CDM/ PD department predominantly delivers on residential (both public and private), commercial, regeneration, education, leisure, sport stadia, infrastructure, public sector and care homes.

The role would suit an experienced CDM/ PD professional from a consultancy background who feels that their progress is currently stalled, our client has a history of excellent career progression and will offer CPD and training opportunities for you to achieve success.

Responsibilities:

Deliver various H&S/ CDM services to ensure compliance on construction projects.

Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.

Oversee design risk register and ensure it is updated on a regular basis.

Attend design and client meetings and offer input in relation to safety in design.

Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.

Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statement) are in place.

Carry out risk assessments and site inspections.

Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.

Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety in design/ risk management.

Requirements:

NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.

NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.

Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body (desirable).

Good understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.

Client facing due to the nature of the role.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
