Are you an experienced educator looking for an opportunity to support students in a values-driven and high-achieving secondary school? The school cater to 1300 pupils and was most recently rated as GOOD from OFSTED. We are seeking proactive and dedicated Cover Supervisors to join a thriving school community in Ilkeston. This role is ideal for individuals with classroom experience who are passionate about maintaining a structured and engaging learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and manage secondary school classes when teachers are unavailable, ensuring students remain focused and engaged.
* Promote a positive learning environment in line with the school's ethos and behavioural expectations.
* Provide clear guidance and support to students, ensuring they complete assigned work effectively.
* Communicate with teaching staff regarding student progress and classroom dynamics.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience working in secondary education is essential.
* Formal teaching qualifications are desirable but not required.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Adaptability and confidence to manage different subjects and classroom settings.
