Hours of work:39 hours per week, worked as 8.5 hours Monday to Thursday and 5 hours Friday. Additional hours may be required to meet specific customer requirements.
Job purpose:Estimating low voltage switchboards and similar products to customer specifications.
Main Duties
- Creating outline switchgear designs and bills of materials to customer specifications
- Obtaining and evaluating quotations from key suppliers
- Preparing customer quotations using template documentation
- Periodic follow-up calls to customers
Skills / attributes
- 2y+ experience in electrical estimating or engineering
- Electrically qualified or qualified by experience
- Customer focused (internal and external) & commercially aware
- Familiarity with LV electrical systems
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work to deadlines, without compromising quality
