Flk recruitment are partnering with a leading FMCG organisation who are looking to appoint a Senior HR Manager. Working as part of a site based Senior Leadership team you will be responsible for leading the delivery of a newly created HR strategy for this site.

The newly-formed senior management team recognises the importance of HR and is looking for an experienced Senior HR Manager to be responsible for developing, leading and providing best-practice people processes. The role will incorporate everything from embedding core HR policies and procedures through to leading a cultural change programme which will ultimately contribute to the site achieving its strategic goals. Whilst this is quite clearly a strategic position, the role-holder must be willing to undertake a fair degree of operational responsibilities.

Main Duties:

  • To develop and implement a business aligned People Strategy aimed at supporting and enabling business goals.
  • Support the business change programme with a particular emphasis on creating a results-orientated, positive, open and honest culture.
  • Ensure company practices are legislatively compliant and senior managers understand their responsibilities in this regard.
  • Establish people metrics that can be reported on monthly, quarterly and annually enabling informed business decision making.
  • Develop an annual Learning & Development Plan comprising individual development plans and site-wide development initiatives aimed at helping the business to continue to grow and be successful.
  • Review, develop and maintain policies and procedures in line with legislative requirements (as a minimum), best practice and ensuring the companies culture and values are reflected therein.
  • Maintain, review and develop the companys reward and benefits structure ensuring fairness, consistency and market competitiveness.
  • Ensure recruitment practices from job specification development through selection and induction processes are of a high standard and in line with current and future resourcing needs.

Essential Skills/ Experience:

  • Level 5 CIPD qualification as a minimum with generalist experience operating autonomously at both strategic and operational levels
  • Experience of leading people strategies aligned to business strategies, you will be an innovative, commercially aware HR Professional who gains respect from key stakeholders quickly
  • Experienced at operating as part of an SLT with a solutions-focused approach, you will have worked in a fast-paced private sector environment delivering a value-adding HR service
  • Previous FMCG sector knowledge preferred
