On offer is a role where you will be responsible for planning UK transport in a specialist sector ensuring that the logistics are efficient and cost effective, you will be given extensive training and development to progress your skill and develop your career.

This role would suit someone who is very well organised, logical, keen to progress and who has strong numeracy and literacy skills.

The responsibilities:

  • Plan all UK transport to meet and aspire to exceed customer's requirements
  • Ensure planning is carried out in the most efficient and cost-effective way to achieve optimum margin potential
  • Ensure all collections and deliveries are planned a booked in on time to meet customer requirements in full
  • Escalate all fluctuations in volume well in advance to assist and support an effective resolution
  • Ensure internal and external communication lines are proportionate, clear and respectful
  • All transport must be costed to each transport partner based on their location and cost impact

The person:

  • Logical reasoning and effective problem-solving skills
  • From an Operations planning and logistics network, Fleet management background
