About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support our commercial and project teams. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in quantity surveying while gaining hands-on experience in cost management, contract administration, and project financials.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing and managing project estimates.
Valuation of works using a schedule of rates.
Help record variations and assist in preparing and submitting final accounts.
Conduct site surveys and contribute to the Construction Phase Plan and Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS).
Monitor and track project costs, ensuring financial control and reporting.
Checking completed projects and managing snagging lists.
Measure and review subcontractor valuations and assist in final account agreements.
Record and report extra works while keeping clients informed.
Attend team meetings and site meetings with clients and stakeholders.
Managing small projects, fulfilling QS duties under supervision.

Key Requirements:

Experience in quantity surveying, ideally within Construction.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with an eye for detail.
Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
A degree, diploma, or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field is preferred.
