About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Communications Support Worker to join a local school in Chesterfield. You will work closely with students 1:1 and small group support to ensure they can fully engage with their education. The school is looking for an immediate start for the right candidate and is potentially a long term role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one communication support for students who use British Sign Language (BSL).
  • Assist small groups of students with additional communication needs.
  • Facilitate and adapt classroom activities to ensure accessibility for all learners.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other support workers to promote an inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage and support students to build confidence and achieve their full potential.

What We’re Looking For:

  • BSL qualification at Level 2 or 3 (minimum).
  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting (preferred).
