If you’re passionate about clean energy and want to be part of a team that’s driving real-world impact, we want to hear from you!RoleWe are looking for a renewable energy commissioning and Service Engineer who is based in the North of England or on the Scottish Border to strengthen the Delivery team in the field. The Delivery team plays an essential role throughout technical sales and owns the delivery of battery and energy management projects to our customers. Your role within the team will be to carry out a variety of engineering and project management tasks, such as:
  • Supporting business development by assessing client requirements and developing solutions.
  • Supporting project management with delivery and pre-configuration of components and supporting our installers
  • with technical advice.
  • Support procurement process with supplier liaison, goods-in and stock processes.
  • Fault diagnosis and correction during commissioning and on occurring faults with existing systems.
  • Liaise with R&D to understand and implement new developments.
  • Understand and compose electrical drawings, working collaboratively with colleagues and suppliers to design panel assemblies.
To succeed in this role, you need to be numerate and familiar with the electrical systems and technology used in renewables at low voltage. You should be a self-starter, a methodical problem solver, and a confident communicator, able to convey technical concepts with simplicity. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects.
  • Interact confidently with clients to interpret their needs and requirements and develop solutions.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project managers, sales team, and 3rd party installers to provide assistance and technical support.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of our systems.
  • Resolve malfunctions or other crises when they arise.
  • Read, comprehend and write complex manuals and diagrams.
  • Diagnose and correct errors in electrical installation.
  • Regular travel to sites Monday - Friday
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Hands-on experience with electrical and supervisory circuitry.
  • Experience in Energy Management Systems, Battery Storage, EV charging, Distributed Energy Resources or any other relatable technologies.
  • Become familiar with electrical regulations, best practices, and standard components.
  • Become familiar with working with various tools and equipment.
  • An analytical mind, numerical with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to travel and work independently, collaborating with remote colleagues.
  • High level of IT and networking ability
  • Good MS Office skills and ability to learn new software tools.
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Attention to detail.
  • A confident, positive and tenacious attitude.
