Responsibilities and duties


Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will:

  • Diagnose and repair faults in key technical process equipment to ensure the reliability and consistency of plant operations.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct inspections on plant equipment, including motors, pumps, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental compliance standards, promoting a culture of accountability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with motor controls, pressure and temperature sensors, and other control systems.
  • Provide support for PLC fault-finding and control system maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, system changes, and equipment configurations.


Professional qualifications


We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Time-served, dual-trained electrical/mechanical engineer with experience in an industrial setting.
  • City & Guilds/NVQ qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate maintenance records.
