Details:

Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Management Accounts Assistant to join their team based in Inverness.

As Management Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for producing an accurate set of Management Accounts on a monthly basis and to perform relevant nominal ledger reconciliations.

Duties include

Managing financial analysis and reporting

  • Reviewing and analysing all P&L transactions throughout the month and post any corrective transactions through the nominal ledger.
  • Reviewing monthly wage costs and general expenditure with the Administrator.
  • Provide support to the administration team by assisting with any queries they have.
  • Reconciliating and managing ledgers
  • Processing through the nominal ledger any necessary accruals, prepayments and transactions for the region.
  • Performing various nominal ledger reconciliations for the region and liaising with internal contacts to resolve any reconciling items.
  • Managing suppliers
  • Reconciling supplier statements and process any outstanding invoices/credit notes.
  • Dealing with any queries from designated suppliers.

Person Specification

  • Previous accounts experience (management accounts not essential).
  • Experience in working to deadlines within an accounting environment.
  • Proficient with using Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Able to work independently and prioritise workload.

Preferred

  • HNC/HND Accounting or Business Studies.
