Industrial Electrician - Inverness - Up to 49,000
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team in Inverness. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on both planned and reactive maintenance, alongside continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly
- Provide call-out cover during breakdowns (on-call rota)
- Assist with installing and commissioning new equipment
- Support operational efficiency through 6S improvements
- Ensure compliance with safety, electrical, and mechanical regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and engineering hygiene on-site
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in electrical fault-finding, installation, and inspection
- Knowledge of PLC systems and material handling (conveyors, elevators)
- Strong mechanical knowledge (motors, drives, gearboxes)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and reliable for on-call and shift work
Qualifications:
- Recognised electrical apprenticeship
- Formal electrical qualification
- Knowledge of ATEX regulations (desirable)
Shift & On-Call:
- Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm (30-min unpaid break)
- On-call rota (one week in four)
- 12-hour shifts during peak periods
