Details:

Our client is looking to appoint a Legal Cashier on a part time basis to join their office in Inverness. The preferred pattern of working hours is 9am 2pm Monday Friday with some flexibility to suit.

The purpose of the role is to operate effectively in overseeing Cashroom activities, carrying out reconciliations and providing an efficient and effective service to the firms clients, partners and staff.

Duties include:

  • Processing financial transactions for both client and firm.
    Allocation of client receipts and payments
  • Allocation of client receipts and payments.
  • Raising and banking cheque payments.
  • Processing deposit account transactions, (uplifts, lodgements, closures & new accounts).
  • Allocating payment to fees and individual cases.
  • Reconciliation of client balances/deposit accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation.
  • Updating and maintaining accurate and confidential client records in line with GDPR.
  • Liaising with clients to obtain information in order to meet deadlines.
  • Working with various online banking systems.

Person specification:

  • Experience working within a busy cashiering environment (legal sector preferred)
  • Knowledge of legal sector regulations and anti money laundering rules.
  • Ability to meet deadlines whilst working with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Strong team player.
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Able to organise and prioritise time effectively.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-tasking to meet deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills including financial software systems and online banking.
  • Experience of MS Office.
