Job Title: Site Agent / Site Manager (6-Month Contract)
Location: North Scotland
Rate: 270-330/day + Accommodation
Project Overview: Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking a Site Agent / Site Manager to oversee and manage the construction of a wind farm comprising 12 wind turbines. The civils package includes the construction of access tracks, borrow pits, a substation, a control building, and other ancillary infrastructure. This is a 6-month contract position located in the North of Scotland, with immediate availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage day-to-day operations on the site to ensure the project progresses according to schedule.
Supervise the construction of the wind farm infrastructure, including access tracks, borrow pits, substation, control building, and ancillary works.
Coordinate and manage the project team, including subcontractors, suppliers, and labour force, to ensure efficient operation on-site.
Ensure the project is delivered in compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Monitor the progress of works against the project schedule, addressing delays or challenges and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Maintain effective communication with the project team, including regular site meetings, reporting on progress, and resolving any issues that may arise.
Prepare and manage site documentation, including reports, records of work completed, and health & safety reports.
Ensure that all materials, equipment, and resources are available and used efficiently.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Agent or Site Manager in civil engineering, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects (wind farms, roads, utilities, etc.).
Strong knowledge and experience in the construction of civil works, including access tracks, substations, and ancillary infrastructure.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team and coordinate various stakeholders.
A solid understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards in construction.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively while meeting deadlines.
Experience in managing project schedules and budgets.
CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid
Previous wind farm construction experience would be an advantage.
