Our client is a prominent player in the civil engineering contracting realm, specializing in the Energy & Renewables, Utilities, Infrastructure, and Transportation sectors.

 

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Quantity Surveyor. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and negotiate subcontract documentation, terms, conditions, prices, and schedules.
• Manage subcontract works packages, including interim assessments and change management.
• Manage the contracts Supply Chain with regards to subcontractor costs
• Produce Monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports and in-depth cost reports
• Submit and agree monthly applications with the client.
• Ensure site records are maintained to required standards.
• Interpret and evaluate internal cost system reports.
• Complete monthly Cost Value Reconciliation reports.
• Attend weekly progress and meetings with clients.
• Forecast cost to complete of larger projects

To be successful for this position you will posess the following;

• Experience in a Civil Engineering environment with a main contractor, ideally wtihin the energy sector, ideally substations
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 advantageous
• A Civil/Commercial/Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent
• Proven experience as a QS
• A demonstrable history of adding significant value
• Extensive knowledge and experience of construction contracts, cost management and estimating
• Advanced analytical skills
• Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel/Word/Outlook
• Strong commercial awareness
• A full UK driving licence
