Buyer (12 Month Contract)

Location: Inverness (with UK travel)
Rate: to £23/hr (c.£45,000 pro rata)
Hours: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week
Grafton Recruitment are working on behalf of a large manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced procurement professional to manage the procurement process for their Inverness manufacturing and assembly site. This is a 12 month temporary role with a requirement to travel to other sites and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage buying of materials for the site.
- Sourcing product and managing supplier relationships.
- Placing purchase orders and expediting materials.
- Ensuring on time and in quality for materials.
- Liaising with local site colleagues around production plans.
- Working as part of broader UK, and international procurement team to ensure procurement strategy is followed.
Requirements:
- Experience in procurement, ideally with materials for manufacture.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Excellent commercial skills and analytical approach.
