Location: Aberdeenshire

Job Description: We are seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the strategic direction of our company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales and marketing and demonstrate the ability to engage in project management as needed. The purpose of the role is planning and delivery of projects under budget and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed sales and marketing plans to guide clients, staff members, and project teams, adapting based on the changing needs of the business.
  • Proactively develop sales leads, meet clients to identify project requirements through careful decision-making and negotiation that optimizes company profits and market share.
  • Look at ways to improve company operations and how to communicate to staff.
  • Monitor the competition, build an understanding of our target markets and customer needs, turning requirements into innovative solutions.
  • Develop excellent leadership, customer relations, and communication skills to liaise effectively with all project stakeholders.
  • Be the main point of contact for commercial, contractual matters, and customer/supplier terms and conditions.

Requirements:

  • Financially and commercially skilled in budget and management/control.
  • Promote a teamwork culture and build effective relationships across the business.
  • Understand customer needs and be able to turn requirements into innovative strategic solutions.
  • Identify, lead change, and continuous improvement.
  • Be a self-starter with excellent leadership skills.
  • Proven track record in Business Management and Marketing Strategies.
  • Experience with quotations and tenders.
  • Experience covering North Sea and Middle East markets is desirable.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel required.
  • Experience with hoist and engineering technologies is advantageous.
  • Sustained experience in a similar role.
