Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

The role – Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Based from the Ardmore and Glen Garioch distilleries in Aberdeenshire, located in Kennethmont (nr Huntly) and Oldmeldrum respectively, you will have a key role across the two sites and will be responsible for undertaking all elements of Maintenance Engineering within a dynamic, fast paced production environment.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

  • Fault finding
  • Emergency breakdown and repair
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • New plant and equipment installation as required
  • Continuous Improvement

You will have undertaken a traditional apprenticeship, possessing an HNC qualification (or equivalent) within a Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-skilled discipline. You will ideally have experience as a Multi-Skilled Technician, however full consideration will be given should you have an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background and have a genuine desire to expand your capabilities into a multi-skilled role where comprehensive training will be provided accordingly.

You will have proven experience managing all elements of plant and equipment maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing, production or associated environment, FMCG or associated sectors preferred. You will be able to demonstrate first class fault finding and plant repair experience with a working knowledge of a broad range of fast moving production plant and equipment.

Direct experience of PLCs, industrial controls and instrumentation would be a distinct advantage.
