We are seeking a Management Accountant to provide financial and administrative support within a busy Finance department. This role includes overseeing the payroll team and requires a knowledgeable and competent individual who can drive the Management Accountant role effectively.
Day-to-day of the role:- Supervise the Assistant Management Accountant.
- Take ownership of Accounts Payable contracts, review, update, and resolve supplier issues.
- Monitor and review Accounts Payable and Receivable transactions.
- Approve weekly payment runs and provide variance analysis on financial reports.
- Support the finance team with general financial duties including invoice coding, reconciliations of control accounts, and general accounting duties.
- Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of financial governance and effective information management.
- Complete monthly management accounts for designated cost centres and drive quarterly reconciliations.
- Prepare for and participate in the annual audit.
- Provide general office and administrative support to the finance team.
- AAT Qualified or Qualified by experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in a similar role within a finance department is highly desirable.
