Our award-winning client, a well-respected business based in Ipswich are looking to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant on an 8-month Fixed term contract.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To become sufficiently cross trained on processes within the team to provide cover and enhance understanding
  • Undertake activities for the Financial Accounts team to enable the associated SAP Project requirements to be delivered for Group and the UK Business within the required timescales.
  • Being proactive in identifying potential opportunities for improvements to be made within the team as a result of implementing processes to enable the team to be more effective and efficient in meeting business needs.
  • identifying issues within the team that could impact the success of the Project.
  • Maintaining a positive attitude, within the credit control team and across the Financial Accounting team
  • Assisting on any other ad hoc projects as and when required

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Knowledgeable in cash forecasting and the treasury & Purchase ledger functions
  • Proficient in using SAP
  • Self-starter who’s able to identify & raise potential issues to the SAP Project manager
  • Able to demonstrate intermediate Excel skills
  • Proactive and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong team player and adaptable to meet workload demands
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, written and analytical skills, attention to detail
  • Part qualified or working towards AAT qualification (desirable)
