Technical Support/ Trainee Technical Support

Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for a Technical Support to join our representable client - an award-winning Chartered Financial Planners. Our client is consistently voted as one of the Top 100 UK financial advice firms.

How does the day-to-day look?

  • Assist with fund research and analysis at both client and company levels, ensuring accurate recording and follow-up.
  • Gather technical product research and provide solutions. • Perform financial and tax calculations.
  • Develop cash flow modelling systems and techniques.
  • Help prepare initial financial plans and solutions to meet client goals.
  • Support the maintenance of compliant client recommendation reports/letters.
  • Assist Wealth Managers in client investment, pension, and tax planning, offering suggestions and confirming proposed actions.
  • Manage time and caseload effectively.
  • Support preparation of compliant suitability reports.
  • Observe meetings and document notes.
  • Provide technical administrative support, including setting up policies and trusts, processing client changes, preparing meeting packs, and trading client funds.
  • Update client information and ensure tasks are diarised in Intelliflo Office (iO).
  • Maintain strong relationships with providers and escalate issues when needed.
  • Assist with the annual review process.

You will have:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to adjust to meet target audience needs.
  • Self-motivated, accountable and committed with excellent team player skills.
  • Ability to work alone, whilst being within a team and proactively contributing to it (ideas, suggestions) with supervision available.
  • Strong organisational skills with flexibility to meet different tasks, requirements and expectations whilst remaining calm, and be able to prioritise accordingly whilst meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to problem solve using various techniques.
  • Work towards begin able to analyse and comment on various tax planning scenarios.
  • Excellent IT skills particularly using Microsoft Office suite, Word, Excel, & Outlook.
  • Previous experience of Microsoft Teams and Intelligent Office would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience of working in the Financial Services sector providing administrative support and some technical support.
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 1 R0 unit towards the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning qualification, preferably 2 and willing to work towards gaining others required to attain the full Diploma.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 08:30am – 5:00pm

Salary: £31,050 - £36,000
