About the role:

As the Sales and Commercial Manager, you will lead the management and development of DanceEast’s commercial activities, including ticket sales, catering, events, and venue hire. Your core mission will be to increase commercial income while ensuring that all commercial pursuits align with our charitable purpose and deliver outstanding customer service. You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, normally over 5 days.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Always ensure excellent standards of customer service and duty management.
  • Develop DanceEast’s approach to customer service and train staff through effective leadership.
  • Develop and implement an income generation strategy
  • Maintain a welcoming environment at the reception and promote DanceEast’s activities.
  • Manage the Ticketing & CRM system (Spektrix) to maximise income generation.
  • Report on sales, donations, and other income streams to inform strategic decisions.
  • Oversee data entry and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Review and establish the café offer to maximise sales and profits.
  • Maintain high standards of service and compliance with Environmental Health Regulations.
  • Promote DanceEast as a premier events venue.
  • Plan and manage events to achieve income targets.
  • Generate new business through field selling, client promotions, and market research.
  • Recruit, train, and support the staff team.
  • Prepare staff rotas and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Foster a culture of internal communication and team development.
