The Site Delivery Lead Role
As a Site Delivery Lead, you will report to the Site Delivery Manager and be responsible for leading a team of Senior Project Manager and Leads (30+ staff) across multiple workstreams, including earthworks, enabling works, civil engineering, and site networks. Your key focus will be on ensuring the successful execution of the Temporary Construction Area sub-programme, delivering on cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Define and manage project work scope, ensuring seamless integration with other programme elements.
- Oversee the execution of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams to drive successful delivery.
- Monitor project progress, managing risks and resolving issues effectively.
- Maintain strong stakeholder communication and engagement throughout the project.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
Site Delivery Lead Essential Skills
- Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects, ideally in the nuclear or highly regulated sectors.
- Strong background in engineering design, procurement, and project execution strategies.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and overseeing major contract negotiations.
- Proficiency in project management tools, risk management, and earned value analysis.
- Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Degree-qualified with Chartered status in engineering, construction, or a related field.
- Knowledge of NEC and FIDIC contracts and CDM regulations.
