About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable, hard-working Cleaner to join our friendly team at a local school in Ipswich. You will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include cleaning classrooms, corridors, bathrooms, and communal areas to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
路 General cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
路 Ensuring all areas of the school are cleaned to meet health and safety standards.
路 Emptying bins and managing waste disposal.
路 Regular cleaning of high-contact surfaces (e.g., door handles, desks).
路 Reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the site manager.
Requirements:
路 Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) is essential - Applicants must either have a current DBS certificate or be on the updating service if certificate is older then 3 months.
路 Previous cleaning experience (preferably in a school or similar environment).
路 Ability to work independently and take initiative.
路 Strong attention to detail.
路 Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic.
