The Test Engineer - Schematics, based in Ipswich, Suffolk, will be responsible for:
Reviewing, analysing, and testing electronic schematics to ensure correctness and functionality
- Collaborating closely with hardware design engineers to validate circuit designs prior to PCB layout and manufacturing
- Developing test plans and procedures tailored to schematic-level verification and functional testing
- Identifying and debugging design issues using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and multimeters
- Supporting schematic capture validation in tools such as Altium Designer or similar
- Ensuring designs meet relevant EMC, safety, and performance standards through structured test methodologies
- Working with cross-functional teams to suggest improvements to designs based on test outcomes
