The salary for this permanent, hybrid position ranges from £40,000 to £50,000 per annum, with 40 hours of work per week. Responsibilities include managing security protocols, overseeing the Security Operations Centre, and supporting IT team members. Candidates must hold a CISSP certification or equivalent and demonstrate strong technical knowledge and communication skills.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cyber Security Lead to join our client based on the outskirts of Ipswich, Suffolk. This role will involve managing the organisation’s cyber security strategy and overseeing the implementation of security protocols and procedures. Your primary goal will be to ensure that their data and infrastructure are protected from all types of cyber threats. The duties of the Cyber Security Lead will include being a reference point for all IT / Information Security and Cyber Security related queries within the Group, ensuring all information is captured into a defined task / event / incident, together with desired outcomes.

This also includes managing the Security Operations Centre Queue, delivery exceptional service when dealing with requests.

The Cyber Security Lead will deal with majority of tasks / events and incidents with support from the IT Manager, Group Information Security Officer and any relevant third parties. Additional duties include supporting other IT Team members resolving issues remotely or onsite.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum.

Qualifications:

CISPP certified or equivalent (E)

Evidence of continuing professional development (E)

GNVQ/NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent or

6 GCSE/O level passes Grade 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent, including English and Math

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years IT experience (E)
