- Managing, auditing, processing and analysing clients’ insurance portfolio data
- Preparation and formatting of data for modelling
- Quantify the catastrophe risk to client portfolios using vendor catastrophe models
- Operation of geo-visualisation tools including Arc GISÂ
- Contribute to the Global Fac Analytics service offering development
- Understand and evaluate the impact of updates and revisions to models and the outputs produced
- Communicate results effectively to all stakeholders (i.e. cat modellers / brokers / clients/ reinsurers)
- Work closely with all stakeholders throughout all aspects of the risk quantification process
- Real-time reporting and analysis of natural disasters and supporting clients post-event
- Support junior members in the team through training and advice.
- An understanding of London/global insurance markets and (re)insurance business
- Good working knowledge of at least one vendor model (RMS preferable)
- An understanding of the underlying perils science and model components
- Strong Problem-Solving skills and keen attention to detail
- Excellent IT skills, ideally with computer programming skills (e.g. SQL, R), an advantage
- Experience and working knowledge of GIS software e.g. ArcGIS, an advantage
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to process and understand data quickly and creatively
- The ability to work in a teamÂ
