Time Appointments are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading business based in Ipswich, who are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to progress their career in accounts payable and finance accounting.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Being responsible for accounts payable, whilst refining and continually improving processes
  • Managing and motivating of accounts payable team members
  • Tracking and managing statement reconciliations.
  • Working closely with the treasury accountant to complete weekly payment runs
  • Acting as first point of escalation for any invoice issues or disputes
  • Assisting with month-end process and financial reporting analysis
  • Key contact for the Supply or Commercial team regarding any invoicing or payment issues

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven significant accounts payable experience
  • Proven supervisory or team management experience, with the ability to lead and motivate team members
  • Experience dealing with high volume transactions
  • Excellent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft packages and accounting related software
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
