Casanovas Recruitment Solutions are seeking a Finance Manager to report directly to the Financial Director. This is a hands-on role and will oversee the Finance Team and key functions such as Credit Control, Accounts Payable and banking. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial controls, supporting business growth, and ensuring accurate reporting while safeguarding the company’s financial position. Flexibility and a proactive attitude are essential, as well as the ability to meet deadlines and manage day-to-day tasks effectively.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Build and maintain financial controls within the Accounts Payable, Credit Control, Expense and finance functions
  • Ensuring appropriate approval levels are established by the board
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Finance Department, improving workflows, implementing new systems
  • Making sure accurate ledgers for sales, purchases, and expenses
  • Manage working capital by overseeing cash collection and supplier payments
  • Handle the expense process including the management on the online system
  • Assist the Finance team with the coding of invoices and expenses
  • Manage the Month end close process and assist with the end of year preparations
  • Manage and develop a team of 4 conducting performance reviews, training and offering guidance and regular supervision
  • Maintain the monthly bank reconciliations
  • Support other team members and any other duties as requested by the Finance Director

Required Skills and Desired Experience:

  • Knowledge of relevant laws, tax, FCA regulations, company law, contracts and accounting standards
  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of financial processes
  • Solid Excel / IT skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • AAT NVQ Level 4, Part ICM/CIMA/ ACCA/ACA qualification or equivalent
