NXTGEN is thrilled to be recruiting for a Legal Cashier to join a dynamic and expanding law firm that is experiencing significant growth. The Legal Cashier will play a crucial role in supporting the finance function, ensuring that the firm's financial transactions are handled accurately and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is keen on contributing to the firm's success during this exciting growth phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing client accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with SRA rules
  • Processing and reconciling payments, receipts, and transfers
  • Handling the daily banking and allocation of funds
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns and maintaining accuracy in all tax matters
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations
  • Liaising with fee earners and other departments to resolve any financial queries
  • Supporting the finance team with audits and financial analysis as required

For this role you will need to have prior experience working in a similar Legal Cashier role, with a strong understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR), be proficient with legal accounting software, such as Leap, Sage, or similar systems, have Strong numerical skills and attention to detail and excellent communication skills for interaction with both internal teams and external stakeholders
