Time Appointments are currently recruiting for a world-renowned logistics business who are looking to add an experienced Customs professional to their growing team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Arranging for all clearances in a timely and effective manner, maintaining an excellent clearance service and ensuring that all third-party contractors are closely monitored.
  • Arranging for container release and PIN with carriers in a timely and effective manner and to ensure that all monies are collected prior to cargo release.
  • Making recommendations for any service improvements or further business expansion opportunities and to highlight any service failings by third party contractors.
  • Ensuring that any queries arising from all colleagues or customers are responded to effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Remaining up to date with custom regulations and being able to help train other staff in customs clearances.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Recent customs experience within the shipping or freight forwarding industry
  • Good analytical, numerical and attention to detail skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work as part of a wider team as well as independently as and when required
  • Adept problem solver
  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
