Your new companyAs a SHEQ Manager, you'll be working for a UK-based construction company that offers a range of services in building and construction. The company is involved in several prestigious projects, from major healthcare facilities to modern educational campuses with work spread across the UK. Your new roleYou will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our construction activities at the Sizewell site. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular safety inspections and audits on-site.
  • Identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Providing safety training and guidance to site personnel.
  • Investigating and reporting on any incidents or near-misses.
  • Collaborating with project managers and site supervisors to promote a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily safety inspections and document findings.
  • Monitor compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections and incidents.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs.

What you'll need to succeed

  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Proven experience as a Safety Inspector in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
