Company & Project: An established Regional Main Contractor are looking for an experienced H&S Manager to join their construction management team, leading a small team of H&S Advisors.

The opportunity presents a rarely seen management position in a successful local business, therefore our client is looking for a candidate who has a stable career history working in Health and Safety for a Main Contractor.

Our client has a very good reputation locally and works on projects to c£20m in value.


Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading a team on a regional basis, coordinating and managing the policy and process for Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality matters.

Receiving reports on the the full lifecycle of Health & Safety, completing company wide H&S assessments, quality assessments, reporting at board level.

Management of all external business accreditations, chairing of the quarterly HSEQ meetings.

Implementation, Delivery, Management and Continuous Improvement of Quality, Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems.

Manage the collection of data for the company's KPI's.


Desirable Experience:

  • Background working within H&S or quality management for 10years+.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience in the Implementation, Delivery, Management and Continuous Improvement of HSEQ.
  • Training within Health and Safety and/or Risk/Quality Assessment.
  • Previous roles: Health and Safety Manager OR Health and Safety Coordinator OR SHEQ Manager OR HSE Manager.


Qualifications & Skills: Certificate in Construction Health and Safety (NVQ, NEBOSH or equivalent)
Desirable: CQI Accreditation, CMIOSH.
