We are on the hunt for a dynamic and proactive Head of HR to spearhead our clients Human Resources department. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be instrumental in harmonising business objectives, risk management, and employee welfare, significantly driving the company’s success.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the HR team while overseeing operations with their external payroll provider.
  • Tackle hands-on operational HR tasks as required, including but not limited to contracts, pensions, workforce planning, recruitment & selection, onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Champion the recruitment process, leveraging all available resources to attract top talent.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of current trends and challenges, offering strategic recommendations to address issues such as skills shortages, employee turnover, and workforce diversity.
  • Take charge of the annual employee engagement survey, ensuring robust participation and translating feedback into actionable insights for the management team.
  • Transform the HR department from a primarily transactional role into a proactive, strategically focused entity.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with all department heads and managers, aligning HR strategies with broader operational and corporate goals.
  • Systematically address and resolve employee relations issues, maintaining meticulous documentation throughout the process.
  • Stay abreast of changes in employment legislation and provide expert advice and guidance to the management team.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven expertise in employee relations and a thorough understanding of employment law.
  • Robust administrative skills, particularly in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Previous experience in a standalone HR role within an SME environment.
  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a high degree of organization, self-motivation, and confidence.
