Bristow Holland is looking for a IT Infrastructure Manager to join forward-thinking organisation based in Ipswich. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and optimise a robust mix of cloud-based and on-premise infrastructure while contributing to the strategic direction of IT services within the business.
The Role:As the IT Infrastructure Manager, you will support the Head of IT by overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems. You will lead a skilled team, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with security standards, all while delivering cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud systems and IT infrastructure.
- Ensure infrastructure is highly available, secure, and efficient.
- Develop and implement strategies to align IT infrastructure with business objectives.
- Plan for scalability and robustness to support future growth.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and implement data protection measures.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud and infrastructure systems.
- Identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Manage and develop a team of IT professionals, providing technical guidance and support.
- Work with application development, cybersecurity, and other IT teams to support new technologies and initiatives.
- Manage relationships with service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure SLAs are met.
- Plan and manage the IT infrastructure budget to align with business needs.
Candidate Requirements:
- 5+ years in a senior infrastructure role.
- Extensive experience in cloud infrastructure management.
- Expertise in VMware virtualisation, Cisco networks, and Microsoft cloud services.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize workloads effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Azure.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, data security, and management.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving infrastructure issues.
- Skilled in coordinating and managing infrastructure-related projects.
