Job Overview:
Our client, a food manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Stock System Administrator with a strong background in SAP to manage and optimize their stock management systems. Based in Ipswich, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team and contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of stock control processes across their supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Management: Administer and maintain the stock management systems, ensuring seamless integration with SAP and other enterprise systems.
  • SAP Expertise: Leverage expertise in SAP to manage stock movements, inventory tracking, and ensure accurate reporting. Resolve any SAP-related issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Stock Control & Optimization: Monitor stock levels, oversee replenishment processes, and ensure the accurate recording of inventory across multiple warehouses.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Generate and analyse stock-related reports using SAP and other tools to support inventory management, reduce waste, and ensure product availability.
  • Stock Audits & Reconciliation: Perform regular stock audits and reconciliations to ensure physical stock aligns with system data. Identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and support to staff on the stock management system and SAP processes. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving any system issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to increase operational efficiency and reduce errors within stock management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure stock levels align with production schedules and demand forecasts.

Personal Profile:

  • Proven experience as a Stock System Administrator or in a similar inventory management role, ideally within the food manufacturing sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP, particularly in relation to stock and inventory management.
  • Solid understanding of stock control processes and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and troubleshoot system issues.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing stock data and reports.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience in working with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing operations or a related industry is advantageous.
