Global market leading manufacturer of off road vehicles seeks an Industrial Engineer to implement improvements within all areas of Operations to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency and reduce of manufacturing costs, while keeping healthy and safety a key priority.

Key responsibilities of the Industrial Engineer include:

  • Analysis of manufacturing systems/processes and present data outcomes to drive data-based decision making;
  • Complete project management efforts to include reporting to senior leaders on assignment progress, challenges, ROI, and next steps;
  • Utilize software environments as applicable for data analytics of production/ TAKT performance;
  • Gather data manually or via implementation of a measuring system such as time studies, data mining from systems, or through SAP/ Oracle;
  • Use lean principles such as waste identification and elimination, theory of constraints, and 1piece flow to evaluate and implement opportunities for improvement;
  • Develop assigned projects to meet strategic business objectives by including developing KPI’s, measurement system needs, resource requirements, and expected outcomes;
  • Implement business strategic initiatives in a sustainable manner by working with cross functional teams and communicating with key stakeholders;
  • Evaluate physical workstations and layouts for ergonomic improvements, waste, repeatability, visual management, and operator satisfaction;
  • Implement recommended material storage and presentation methods to the assembly line.

Degree or equivalent qualified in Engineering, and ideally with Industrial Engineering experience behind you, experience in the use of statistical analysis tools is essential together with knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma.

An effective communicator and problem solver, you should have knowledge of PFMEA, SPC and Quality Control Techniques.
